Last week was Mental Health Awareness Week. It is quite normal for us to place a lot of focus on something in the moment and then return to our normal lives.
With more people than ever suffering from mental illness we need a fundamental change not only to the health care system but to our own attitudes.
Our minds are incredibly complex and it's actually perfectly normal to experience mental illness in our lifetime in some way, shape or form.
I say, we should accept this, manage it and be kinder to ourselves and those around us.
If we all made an effort to express kindness or support just once per week, the world would be a better place for us all.
Let us make a continued effort towards Mental Health Awareness.
